Microsoft Word: Documents That Hold Together

About this course

Most people can type in Word. The trouble starts on page thirty, when the client asks for a different heading size, an appendix numbered from one, and a table of contents that matches the pages it points to.

This course is about the difference between making something look right by hand and setting it up once so it stays right. You will work with formatting marks, paragraph styles, an automatic table of contents, section breaks and page numbering, multilevel lists, tables, image wrapping, tracked changes and PDF export.

Every lesson is built around a failure you have probably already seen: the heading missing from the contents, the numbering that starts over in the middle of a contract, the screenshot that jumps to the next page, the tracked changes that reached the client by accident.
